The NexRadio DCS Gimbal is built on the advanced DCS sensor, which boasts superior linearity and resolution while completely eliminating the mechanical wear of traditional potentiometers and the magnetic-field interference inherent to Hall-effect designs.
Unlimited Lifespan
Traditional potentiometers lose centering accuracy and linearity over time due to mechanical wear. The DCS sensor, however, captures position data without physical contact-detecting capacitance changes as the medium rotates. This contactless design ensures a consistently smooth, fluid feel with a virtually unlimited operational lifespan.
Anti-Interference
The capacitive sensor operates entirely independently of magnetic fields, rendering it immune to the electromagnetic interference that plagues Hall-effect gimbals. Its end-to-end digital signal path further eliminates the noise and ripple inherent to conventional analog voltage outputs.
